Once again, a bunch more time between updates. Sorry 'bout that. The frame is sitting in the backyard. I've got a shop lined up to sandblast and paint it, but haven't yet come up with a convenient way to get it down there. If he's decent to work with on the frame, and on cleaning up some damage to the SHO, I'll have him do the wagon body as well.

Meanwhile, I've been spending a truly excessive amount of time under the body with a drill, a selection of wire wheels, and a pot of paint remover. This is a spectacularly messy job and if you go down this road, by the time you're done sandblasting gear and a rotisserie will seem cheap. My outfit includes:

Coveralls or other disposable clothing that's reasonably resistant to nasty chemicals soaking through them; if it has a hood for your head, so much the better.
Full face shield and a couple replacement windows.
A roll of kitchen plastic wrap from which to make tear-offs for the face mask. I kid you not; the plastic wrap will protect the mask from at least the smaller splatters that would otherwise render the mask unusable in a hurry.
Goggles are still a good idea under the face shield.
A respirator is as well, but is awfully bulky under the face shield. If you elect not to use a respirator, you ought at least to use a dust-mask while scraping and a healthy fan to keep the fumes away.

After about 12 hours I'm about 1/3 done. With luck another two weeks and it'll be clean.

In the last installment I mentioned the 460CJ heads were here; in fact, Jeg's had shipped one assembled and one unassembled. The unassembled head was returned, and they shipped out another unassembled head. Another UPS call tag ensued, and they finally got another assembled head out here.
