Time flies!
Doesn't seem like a bunch of months since I last posted an update, but it apparently has been. Regardless, some progress has been made in the meantime. The frame has now been dropped from the body. Turned out to be easier than expected. Of course, I haven't tried to put it back yet.

A few more ongoing things:
The Motorsport 460CJ heads are here, and I've sent off the first check toward the stroker short-block.
Looks like the E4OD transmission is going to set me back around $3000 - that at least is Level 10 Transmissions asking price once you throw in core charge, torque converter, etc. Art Carr doesn't want to do an E4OD at all; they recommend a GM 4L80E and their adapter kit, totaling closer to $4300 - but I can't see much reason that a decent E4OD should be significantly weaker than a C-6. If I had a good C-6 laying around I could go for a bulletproof Gear Vendors overdrive assembly, but they're pricey too and I like the idea of having selectable computer control over the shift points and converter lockup.
The iron front disc hubs didn't work out at all - they'd invariably crack when the wheel studs were pressed in - so I'll get to have Baer Racing make up a set of billet aluminum ones (oh well, it's only money.)
Now I really have to find a shop to sandblast and paint the frame, and eventually to do the bodywork.
