I've pretty much given up on the idea of meeting any sort of timetable for getting the car prepped and to a body shop. Too many other things keep getting in the way. The car isn't going anywhere under its own power for now: most of the exhaust system has fallen off in little and sometimes not-so-little red-brown chunks while I've been working under the car. The rest of the bottom of the car, fortunately enough, looks pretty decent.

Those of you that have provided feedback, advice, information: thank you. I've learned quite a bit. For instance: if I elect to find a set of the cast-iron 427 headers, I'll have to pitch the column-shift, since the headers go right through the space occupied by its linkage. The earlier HP390/406 parts would fit, though they're obviously not as visually impressive and maybe a few percent less efficient.
